Yappy Hour raised funds for Best Friends Animal Society
The Shorebreak Hotel in Huntington Beach — which happens to be pet friendly — Hosted a fund-raising event on Sept. 10 to benefit the Best Friends Animal Society and the Orange County Humane Society.
The economic downturn around the county has put added pressure on animal rescue groups to care for more abandoned pets. To help our homeless furry friends, Brenda Calvillo organized the fun-filled event that will feature hor d’ouvres, music, wine, a silent auction and more.
But don’t fret, dog owners, the makers of PetaPotty were on hand to spare the new hotels floors a wee little accident or two.

“JOSH HARTNETT The actor was rushed to hospital with stomach pains.
Josh Hartnett was rushed to hospital yesterday with stomach pains. The ‘Pearl Harbor’ star was staying at the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood when he began complaining of “excruciating” abdominal pain at around 2am. An ambulance quickly arrived and took the star to Los Angeles’ Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he is currently “under observation”. In a statement, Hartnett’s representative Susan Patricola said the 30-year-old actor had suffered a “flare-up” of an ongoing gastrointestinal problem. PETaPOTTY flies to New York and takes on 3000 dogs
Los Angeles based PETaPOTTY flies to New York and takes on 3000 dogs in a week at the 133rd Westminster dog show. They say if you can make it there you can make it anywhere, well PETaPOTTY definitely made it there. Let the urine flow. From The hotel Pennsylvania’s Penn Top Ballroom where 300+ dogs used the PETaPOTTIES to the Hotel Pennsylvania’s green room where the PETaPOTTIES accommodated 3000+ dogs. The PETaPOTTIES managed to contain tens of gallons of urine in their lower trap pans. Top Dogs from around the world converged on the Hotel Penn’s green room to use the facilities ranging from potty facilities to dog grooming stations to doggy masseuses. It was a raging river of urine and the PETaPOTTIES withstood the torrent. The hotel was so happy with the performance of the PETaPOTTIES that they spread several units around the hotel in key dog traffic areas.

While in town PETaPOTTY owner/creator Brandon Hochman took in the entire Westminster Dog Show. He was able to rub elbows with all the top dogs including last year’s winner Uno. Brandon and Uno bonded and had many in depth conversations about dog’s potty needs.

The entire Westminster week was a huge success for PETaPOTTY. PETaPOTTY plans to make an annual pilgrimage to the event and become part of the Westminster tradition.
MTV Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory
The gears just keep spinning in the minds of the engineers behind PETaPOTTY. Our latest innovation, the PETaPOTTY 3-Sided Playpen, is designed for pets and pet owners that want easy access to the playpen. The PETaPOTTY 3-Sided Playpen makes it possible to use a door or wall as the fence’s mobile fourth side. Pet owners can devote their patio, veranda, or porch to their pet, use their door as the playpen’s gate, and save their grass, wood and furniture from pet waste. Brilliant, eh? Customers have even built dog doors that access our 3-Sided Playpen, giving their dog a safe, isolated space to go outside and easily return. Others have simply need a partition separating their space from their pets, but not a fully enclosed pen. The 3-Sided Playpen is the answer to plenty of unique situations. It can be customized and is available in a number of sizes. Open the door to your pet’s domain with the PETaPOTTY 3-Sided Playpen.
Like always, the PETaPOTTY crew has more than a few tricks up our sleeves. Recently, we were invited to collaborate with MTV personality Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory on an episode of his new TV series. All we can say is keep your eyes peeled for PETaPOTTY’s on the MTV Show. We had a blast hamming it up for the production. We got to show the world that the folks behind PETaPOTTY aren’t just potty experts; we are also pretty decent skateboarders (not to toot our own horns or anything). Andy landed a backside 180 for the camera and went home a happy man. The series picked up 2 brand new, custom 3 sided PETaPOTTY Pens with all the trimmings. With PETaPOTTY everybody wins.

2009 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show
Located adjacent to Madison Square Garden, the prestigious Hotel Pennsylvania is a Madison Square Gardeninstitution that personifies the city’s style, essence and history. Glenn Miller played there and wrote the famous song and band number entitled “Pennsylvania 6-500,” consequently the Penn’s phone number still reflects the song’s title. It’s tradition for the Hotel Penn to act as a media and social hub for Westminster. No matter where the exhibitors and spectators stay, they converge at the Penn for everything dog related. Skybark transformed the Penn Top Ballroom into the “place to be” for anyone looking to bring their pets, cut loose, and have a great time before the Westminster Dog Show commences. The glamorous ballroom met the high standards of Skybark and featured immaculate views that looked upon the Empire State Building and the marquis of Madison Square Garden.
The Hotel had a large lower-level conference room that was converted into an indoor bio-break facility for the competitors. The facility is referred to as “the Green Room” and PETaPOTTY, was found there taking care of the dogs’ potty needs. Droves of high society pooches clamored over the best pet potty space. The dogs loved it. Judy Davis of First in Line Animal Grooming Products and the veteran host of the Penn’s Green Room Salon, Spa and “Paw Mall’ brought us on and PETaPOTTY was overjoyed to be taking care of prestigious pet business. The accommodations for Westminster entries have made the Hotel Pennsylvania the Travel Channel’s “#3 Bathroom”. The Hotel draws in a great deal of media coverage. There are always paparazzi scouring the place for great shots and videos of the world’s top dogs. The Hotel Pennsylvania was where all the action is, which makes it perfect for an event like Skybark and PETaPOTTY.
Pet-a-Potty Named Top Pet Product of the Year on About.com’s ‘Weird News’
Wow! We didn’t know it was the “Top Pet Product Of The Year“-
“Pet-a-Potty Named Top Pet Product of the Year on About.com’s ‘Weird News’”
"Great news everyone. On the CSN Blog, They’ve been HUGE advocates of the Pet-a-Potty ever since they began carrying this wonderfully quirky item. The Pet-a-Potty, the revolutionary indoor dog toilet that features real grass and a unique drainage system, is the ideal accessory for the always working pet owner. Though it may look a little silly, it sure beats having your rug transformed into a toilet every time you stay at the office a little late.
“We’re big proponents of items that serve a purpose and also have a sense of humor and that’s we’re excited that About.com’s ‘Weird News’ named the Pet-a-Potty ‘the top pet product of the year.’ Author Buck Wolf included this in his ‘Weird Gift Wish List,’ a gift guide in which two other blog favorites also appeared – an Aquarium End Table and a Giant Croc Pet Bed. It’s important to chuckle more than ever these days, so it’s great when silly products like these get recognized. Great work Buck and your ‘Weird News’ Team. Also, be sure to check out this past Tuesday’s Top Ten for Ten Great Silly Gifts.” -CSN
